General information

About me My name is Liz Stevens, I am 32 and live with my husband Jason, my two children Ruben (age 4) and Betsy (age 3), our 2 cats, a dozen fish and 6 chickens (don’t worry they live in the garden). We moved to Toton in 2006 and remain here still as we love the community feel of the village. I achieved a 1st class Honours degree in Food and Nutrition at Nottingham Trent University and worked in pensions during this time to pay the bills etc. We then decided to have children of our own who I care for full time; I love and cherish them so much and they make every day exciting and different. I have always wanted to work with children and it was always my intention to become a childminder when my own children reached 2+ to enable me to care for my own and others in our home environment. I have a passion for children and encouraging the development as they grow. I understand what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look after your little ones as I did choosing a preschool for my own. Having four years experience of bringing my own children up, a degree in Food and Nutrition, my Paediatric First Aid certificate, OFSTED Registered and an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, I feel I can teach them and help them to develop and grow into happy confident children, in a safe and caring environment.
